Design

Like the 1980’s show, the game is created in a cartoon style and has the same wacky feel to it.  Behind the reels, there is Inspector Gadget’s hometown, with a blue sky above, and the street below the set of reels.  The reels themselves have an interesting design with gadgets and gizmos decorating the frame. On the reels, you have playing card symbols, which are lower value offering, and theme symbols such as the police cars, secret files, safes, handcuffs and the Inspector Gadget logo making out the larger value selection.

Rules

Inspector Gadget is a five-reel, three-row slot, with a game engine of between twenty and fifty paylines. To win players will look to land a three, four or five symbol combination on one of the active paylines.  The winning amount will vary depending on the bet size, the number of landing symbols and the value of the symbol.

Developer

This slot was designed by the team at Blueprint Gaming.  This industry leading company are renowned for producing multi-platform big budget slot games such as Ted and Austin Powers.  Like these other titles, the Inspector Gadget slot mobile compatibility is spot on.

Strategy

The strategy on Inspector Gadget must be to maximise your return, and that can be done by varying your bet per spin. A bet range of between 20p and £200 per spin is available, with the more you bet the bigger your return.  The jackpot on offer is 500x your stake.

Bonuses

On this wacky title, there are plenty of bonuses and little extras to keep the gameplay interesting.  Firstly, you have the wild bomb symbol which substitutes for all but the scatter symbol to fill combinations.

There is also a number of Go Go Gadget modifiers, which will trigger if the Inspector answers the phone at any point.  These modifiers include adding additional wilds, stacked wilds, a Mystery Brain feature, which adds symbols, colossal symbols and also can add additional bonus symbols.

During the modifiers feature, the reels can expand to seven rows giving you fifty paylines.

The final bonus is triggered by landing three of scatter symbols. Spin the wheel and reveal a bonus to play.  All these bonuses are wacky and include two picks rounds, two free spins and a Mad Money bonus where Dr Claw and bombs reveal prizes.

Verdict

This slapstick slot masterpiece can’t fail to entertain those who try it, especially those old enough to remember the original cartoon from the ’80s. The game offers players plenty of variety, fun and engaging graphics and so much bonus features it’s hard to keep track.
